First step in University

Yes, here am I now, UKM, a.k.a the National University of Malaysia. My campus is a branch campus. It is located in KL centre somewhere near the Hospital Kuala Lumpur. My hostel is called Kolej Tun Syed Nasir. Some of my lecture in Speech Science will be conducted in the Kolej as well.

There are so much to tell that I don't know where to start. Well, I think orientation first. It lasted one while week. Before entering the Uni, I had a feeling that it is going to be a waste of time and boring and silly and all. Negative thinking. Well, probably caused of the rumors and some regging experience our seniors experienced.

Turned out, everything is so good. Fun, a little wasting of time, tired and bla bla bla. In all, it is a thumb-up! The PC, a.k.a the committee, they did make us wasted some times waiting for this and that, however, they are doing great job. What I remember the most of this orientation is the time we slept during the uncountable talks by who who who and who who who. :D

I am lucky to know my coursemates during the interview and through FB. Some how we are roommates and thus we are linked and build our friendship the first day we met. :P and also, the others who are in other course. One thing that we shared, I mean our speechies and audios is----we are very outgoing and noisy and chattery. This made us know lots of people during the orientation. Not only juniors but also PCs.

And some how we got selected in the angklung performance. We have to represents our Kolej. There, I met a guy that has perfect pitch!!! Admire this little boy a lot! He is our conductor. This angklung performance is a special and never one. We have singing parts and dancing parts beside the instrument plating part! When three joined together!!!! We got a third place among the 12 or 13 Kolejs that participated!!! Oh my!!! Thank God!! We have been practicing throughout the orientation and missed some fun games!!!! But hey! We have gotten our kolej's long missing price!! And also the long-missing Cheering competition!!! It is a third place too!!! Wahahah! The PC said we were very special compared to other years. Even the Principal as well. Very supportive and enthusiastic!! :)

Well, our Speech seniors said that we have a very packed timetable compared to their time. And really it is tiring for us to adapt to it. Given our first big assignment d and I shall only write about it when I started. Tomorrow. :) that's all about the orientation. Thank God for helping me to enjoy every stage in my life as always!

    1. It's mainly English with some Malay courses like phonology and also some uni compulsory course like TITAS. Anyway. The delivery of the lectures, regardless of the language of the course, is in English too most of the time. But bear in mind I am only referring to what I've gone through tho.
