First cooking experience using electric kettle?!
I have not been posting anything here for quite some time. Well, here i am. :)
It is my first experience using an electric kettle to cook something. Since rice cooker is classified as illegal stuff for my hostel, I did not get to eat any healthy and non oily dish here for quite a while. After two months, finally I get to go home.
I visited Mrs Chua's family to thank her daughter for the big help in my assignment. My boss(from my previous part time job) gave me this stainless steel electric kettle, which allows cooking using it, as a surprise present for entering universities. It is such a great present as it is really useful for someone like me.
>>>The cafeteria food is basically Malay curry rice and fried rice. Though there is a western food stall and a roti canai stall there as well, but it is so unhealthy and fattening to eat such oily and heavy food everyday. At home, my mum's dish is always less oil and less salt and without MSG!! Here, you need to quench a lot of water after every servings!! And, green, crunchy vege is so hard to find over here!
Therefore, I am so grateful getting this present. As soon as I got back here, I went to look for fresh vege and started cooking my healthy diet. After some research online, and some advice from Mum and Mrs Chua, I managed to cook a pot of pipping hot vege soup! And it tasted so good!! Just like home dish! Here's the photos of my first try! :D so proud of myself!
***cleaning the electric kettle by heating some water inside it and add some detergent inside. Use the hot water to clean it and rinse it. Be careful not to wet the lower part :) wipe the kettle with a piece of cloth to prevent water stain on it. :)
