Urban Food Sharing

Forgives me for the awkward flow and sentence structures of this flow. It is bad I'm sure. Cause I'm very very tired. Had a long but fruitful day.

So.

Went to my second experience of Urban Food Sharing today. The condition was way more worse than the one I went under Setapak Methodist Church on behalf of UKMKL CF last semester. It was more cramped and stuffy and kinda stinky and very wet. Anyway, the flow and what we did was almost the same, except that there isn't enough space to set up a stage for worship and this one is funded by FGAKL.

Though this urban food sharing was held only on every Saturday, yet, church has set up this place named Kawan, for them to clean themselves up everyday, and have their meals there on daily basis. I was told, in Kawan, they would do worship, pray and the volunteers (from Home Fellowship, they have their roster to follow) would share the gospel to the street people and all. It's actually quite surprising to find out that, there are actually quite a lot of homeless people in Malaysia.

I'm glad that I could be part of this today, it feels so much different, doing this with members from my own church. Met so many elders whom we never really talked to in church until today. And the lovely Paster Jane, who is a very lovely and pleasant lady, very humble and actually washed the cups with the helpers by the dirty damp corner. I actually feel kind of ashamed of myself tho, for feeling a lil uneasy about the dampness in that corner. All I could do today were to help scooping the food, distributing the food, collecting the rubbish and cups and stacking up the chairs. I did not talk to any of them, cause I don't know how, and wasn't sure what to say as well. But overall it was a valuable experience. Thank God that I went despite the fact that I should be held hostage by my hectic exam week.

It made my day even more interesting with the duty in service with people from other CG after the community work, plus the combined cg chapfan (catering food dinner) and cg lessons, plus supper. Praise the Lord for such a day. :)

Tiff.
Good night.
And, something magical happened today, which I still have doubts and yet to find out more about it. Gonna talk to my Pastor soon. (I went to the altar and Pastors prayed for me for he gift of the Holy Spirit, and I began speaking in tongue.) But like I said, I wasn't very sure about the whole thing, so, gonna talk to my Varsity Pastor real soon.)
God bless you. Sleep tight, :)
