Banana Cake

My whole kitchen was filled with the aroma of banana. I am not really a fan of banana. I prefer juicy fruits like watermelon, strawberry etc. Anyway, banana cake tastes really good and I found this recipe that seems pretty easy to bake.

So... Woke up very early in the morning, headed the mall to get all the ingredients I needed and got ready the utensils for my first cake in such long period.

I actually challenged this recipe by not using banana essence but more banana to get the aroma of a  banana rich cake. (I know it sounds weird). Mum warned me about the risk of those banana affecting the raising process of the cake in the oven, but experiment is always fun. I took out banana essence from the recipe, and added a little more of the amount suggested for baking powder and baking soda... Guess what!! I succeeded! :D My smile just got wider and wider seeing the mixture/cake starting to raise bits by bits in the oven. Also, my kitchen smelt like banana and butter! I was literally jumping and singing throughout the washing up process. :P

Tadaa! Sneak peaks of the day:
1) See, the mixture was 'growing' or 'raising', as well as my excitement.

2) After more than 30 minutes in the oven, it's finally cooked! Trust me, it smelt super good!

3) Just what I expected! Pretty little pillow shape cake!

Time for serving and sharing!
Trust me! They are soft and yum! But, might wanna reduce the amount of castor sugar next time. It's too sweet for my Dad and Mum to eat.

Tiff.
Another great contentment.
Baking is truly a good way of healing from whatever pain one is going through.
:)

God Bless.
Enjoy!
Love!
