Baking Egg Tarts

This was last week's story... I have been really "busy" lately..

Two of my best friends wanna come over to bake egg tarts, and so, this was what we did together last week.
Yum yum! They smell really good!

###Background😝

We agreed that we should make it an annual thingy that four of us best friends should spend each of our holidays doing something together. Memories are meant to be collected, especially when we are young. Four of us were literally best sisters during our secondary lives.

Now, all of us are studying in different places now... UM, IMU, UKM, and US. Hah. Right. One of us is in Michigan currently. Four of us were in science stream class then two of us chose Account and Econ; whilst two of us still remained in science--health science---->Pharmacy and Speech Science. :)

However, four of us would be seeing each other at least once a year. This year the first gathering was just chit chatting and catching up old times. The photos are on FB and Insta.:) This baking was a spontaneous one, sadly, one of us have ady gone back to KL for her new semester. So, it became a three-people thing....

###The Making Of....

So, talking about egg tarts...

Actually it's kinda easy to bake egg tarts. I have done it without Mum's supervision lots of times. So, this time, with Mum's ancient recipe scrapbook, and some ingredients prepared earlier, three of us started our baking adventure, :P.

We started by mixing the ingredients and place the dough to the container. Look at those cute bases prepared by three of us to be baked in the oven. :)

Baking the tart base in the process

Tada! They're done. Then we poured in the eggs mixture to the tart base and sent them into the oven again.

They are almost done!!

Surprise! Freshly baked egg tarts from the oven!

Egg tarts are easy to bake. The ingredients are kinda cheap too. What's troublesome is the time needed. Well, you need to firstly mix the ingredients and make it into a dough. Then, "insert" the dough  into those tiny cute container for the base. This step requires some practice, or else you will face some problems getting it nice in shape. It may either breaks easily or goes out of shape. :)

After finishing the tart, you have to bake the tarts at 180 degree for 10 minutes first before pouring in the egg mixture. :) then again, bake them for 15-18minutes till the eggs solidified. :) easy but time consuming. :)

I made two rounds of bakings, meaning about 32 egg tarts were made. My dear friends left and look the these kitchen baking utensils!

The washing can really kill me, I have to use toothbrush to brush the oil and crumbs out from the container one by one after soaking them. :@ And also scrub the floors?! Mum is rather sensitive with her kitchen floor cleanliness.....

### Behind The Scene

The failed tarts. Hahahha.

The clumsy chef-ME.

The two other pretty chefs. :P

Tiff.

Love the colour of my kitchen wall. Make a good background for the photoshooting. Hah.
God bless. :)
