CF topic : BGR and the building a relationship with God.

This was a note I made last year during one of our CF sessions. Its a bit messy but i find this talk very beneficial. Adriane is the FES staff that gave is this talk on BGR (Boy Girl Relationship) and also about our relationship with God.

A relationship is 'A make and break of ppl'.

It 

#builds you up 

or 

#tears you down.

We seen it enough.

3 things:

1. The first thing in a relationship is DISCOVERING.

It is a process of discovering. 

-Why he acts a certain way? 

-Why is he angry or sad?

When you find out why, or respond in a certain ways why is he responding in they way, we are discovering him, his heart, his feeling, discovering his dreams and hope, aspiration, what he wants out of life, what is his beliefs, dreams and etc.

We are aligning yourself to his dream so that both of you can run that together. It is never about two of you.

2. Be good in building MEMORY that lasts and remember these memories.

### It is a journey of 'FAITH'. 

Nobody know what is going to up happen to you and your relationship. Do things that matter, laugh cry, do silly things together. Relationship is a journey. So that we have things to remember. If you are in a long term relationship, you need to collect memory. These memories is what that will carry you through the storm. Have a treasure box---leave it in your heart.

3. Be secured in his love. Trust in that person.

We need to know who you are in his eyes. We need to see how much we are worth in his eyes. So, there is no fear and just trust. When there is trust, you increase the confidence towards him. When we trust him,we empoweroir life to him.

***IMPORTANT***

We are not just talking about our relationship with boys or girls. 

Actually, we are talking about GOD.

We need to be a good lover of God. 

###When we walk with God with god in the journey, discover god, build memory, be secured in his love. 

God is the source of everything, we need to build a good relationship with God,  be a good lover of god. If we don't, nothing in our life will work. 

1. We must be ready to align ourselves in His dream. 

He hates evil loves good. Hates pornography. Loves the things that build his kingdom. He loves good, hates bad, injustice.

2. Build these memories with god. 

We need to know who God, to make the relationship with god works. Read His words, pray to Him, seek Him.

3. We need to be secured in ourselves besides God's love.

We need to find out who we are.(discover)

Do we know what we want in life. What is our dreams and aspiration?

Because if you are struggling with these issues, you are not ready to be in a relationship.

You have to be secured with who you are.

### If we are so confident as God's child. We need to accept and be loved by God. We need to know that, before we start loving.

We need to be lover of God, only then we will be a good lover of one.

### We share the same belief. We are the follower of god. We share the same dream as God. God's dream is to build the kingdom. If we don't have the same dream, how is our relationship with God going to last? 

Q&A

1. Why do we need to find someone who shares the same belief as us?

Ans : E.g : Next time, your child, should you send him to Sunday school? We should, but if your husband refuse? These things explain why we should have the same belief.

The 3 Don'ts to be taken note.

-Don't look for the right person, be the right person. Trust that God will bring the right person to you. Be confident.

-Don't start young. When you are young, you don't know much thing about life. In a relationship, it means you are ready that this guy is going to be the father of your son. If you are young, can you know about that? Because when we start young, we have a whole lot more to discover. We need to discover god, ourselves and him, discover about life, what is our dream, what is God's calling for you. *** It will be a harder process.

The purpose of marriage is to be fruitful and multiply. It is to rule and reign in his kingdom. It's in genesis.  Bear spiritual fruits. To make his kingdom grow. 

-Don't wait till married to love and submit. Focus on being the good lover, being the right one. Love and submitting. A husband has the authority over the wife. It's like God has the authority over us. A wife will best mitten to a husband. In a marriage, our relationship with the husband is like our relationship with God. Christ is authority.. 

~It does not mean that your husband is more powerful than you. But it's because you love him, this is his decision. You will submit to him, support him and obey him. Because you know his decision is based on the love he had towards you.

~But if husband makes things against God's will. And is not based on you, then you have to think. 

###Verse of the day-Leave everything and follow me. 

Commit means leaving everything and follow him, why can we do that? Because we know God has a plan for us, He loves us. 

!!! No sex before marriage!
