New Obsession

Nail Polish. 

Yes. It's my new obsession this semester break at home. I couldn't stand seeing my nails without colours right now. LOL. I am guessing it's because I didn't get to keep my nails the whole semester due to my practical, so, once it's over, BAM! 

Anyway, this wasn't really as 'new' as it seems.. Like one of my best friends, Yong, we have always loved such girly stuffs. I remember when we were in high school, we like keeping her nails. We would even paint our nails together during school hols. And Yong, she has this really nice nail shape I wish I had! 

Well, then in 2010, I met him. On one random conversation we had not long after we started, he said he and his Mom don't like girls who dye their hair, keep their nails and all. Honestly, from that time onwards, I almost 'quit' my love for long and pretty nails. I sorta convinced myself I dislike it too... Yong once said something like "screw it and just do what you like", but, for love, I could literally do everything. Haha. I also remember I declined their invitation of getting manicure treatment together and ended up sitting there just to talk when they had their manicure treatment. 

Ahhh. Just a..."side dish" of this post. Okay, back to the topic. I don't remember how I got all obsessed about pretty nail colours and refused to let them face the world in the nude. I bought a tiffany blue nail varnish this holiday and I love love love it. :) Below are photos of my beautiful (or perhaps weird) nails this whole semester break: 

They glow in the dark. Looks weird during the day but I have to say, it's simply awesome at night when the lights are off. They're my birthday present from JouNing actually. However, Brother hates them. :( 

The tiffany blue I was talking about earlier on. Pretty right? My favourite colour! Personally I think coral blue can never beat tiffany blue. Ahhhh~~~ Love Love Love.

Gold. My first ever elegant-looking gold nails. QOTD: Best friends must have the same nail colour at least once in life!! 

Fierce Sexy Red. Initially I thought it would look weird, but then meh~ love at first sight. New item to my wish list. :P 

My last colour of this break. :( Gonna cut my nails and get back to reality(new semester) in one week time. By the way, this nail polish is in the garbage bin now. It has become too thick to be used properly. Four years ago, Yong bought it for Lin and I from The Face Shop in KL. I managed to use about 60% of it before throwing it away. Not too bad...right?
